Bittensor Daily — September 18, 2026

SN44 (Score) launched Score Studio, taking the computer-vision tooling behind its enterprise product Manako and putting it in the hands of independent engineers. Elsewhere, Bittensor's Root Reborn change has stopped auto-claiming root staking rewards, and stakers are reporting lower yields and unstable transfers. Also this week: two Erdős problems fall to a Bittensor subnet, an SN10 optimization lands in vLLM, and Yuma Group crosses $200M staked.

Score Studio: Manako's vision stack goes public

SN44 (Score) launched Score Studio, a platform for independent engineers and small teams to build and deploy computer vision systems, positioned as an alternative to Roboflow. Users can generate and label data, tap public-track models, or train their own; if nothing fits, they can commission a model through Vision Lab by funding a bounty, and completing that bounty triggers a buyback and burn of SN44 tokens. The underlying tech already runs in production through Manako, Score's enterprise platform, deployed at 120+ AVIA sites and 60 Shell/ENI sites, with clients including Reading FC, Eyeball, Mettle, and Lavance. Manako's commercial model is recurring per-camera and per-site fees -- for example, €15 per camera per month plus €150 per site for the VLM layer in European fuel retail deployments.

Root Reborn: manual claims, lower yields, shaky transfers

Following Bittensor's Root Reborn change, root staking rewards no longer auto-claim to TAO -- they accrue inside a root validator basket and require a manual claim. One community member reported their root staking APY dropping from roughly 7% to roughly 5.9% since the update. Others reported unstaking and wallet transfers behaving unstably, with unusually high fees, and one case of unstaked TAO landing in an unfamiliar wallet address with no prior transaction history. A shared post described the root basket and its fee behavior as a bug.

Two Erdős problems fall, and an SN10 optimization lands in vLLM

Miners on the Conjectures subnet solved Erdős Problem 196, open for 49 years, disproving a conjecture on permutations without four-term arithmetic progressions -- verified in the Lean proof assistant. The same miners also cleared both parts of Erdős Problem 14, open for 34 years, proving a square-root lower bound on exceptions to unique representation as a sum of two set elements, also Lean-verified. Separately, SN10 (Pareton) miners built an inference optimization for Qwen3.8 using MTP speculative decoding that was merged upstream into vLLM, delivering about 4% more throughput at batch sizes 4-8.

Yuma Group scales up

Yuma Group reported over $200 million in TAO and subnet tokens staked to its validator. It said Bittensor staking access has expanded through partnerships with Crypto.com and MEXC, and it announced the launch of its third institutional fund.
